Positive Tutoring is always looking for experienced and excellent tutors who know about the subject they teach to an advanced level and who are patient, positive, nurturing, mature-minded and who can bring out the best in students. It is important that students go over the week?s lesson and the concepts learnt to reinforce their learning to prepare for future work otherwise this may impede on future study and progress. For best results, we recommend regular tutoring every week for at least 1 to 1.5 hours per week and have regular homework and revision. You are free to select the type of tutor which best matches your requirements and budget. As our tutors range in different levels of experience and have different levels of qualifications and expertise, we would charge differently according to their skill level and experience. You can determine when the tutoring starts and stops. There are no booking fees, no lock-in contracts and no minimum tuition requirements. From this, your tutor can discuss with you and arrange suitable lesson content to address areas of concern and reinforce learning. Key problems areas and areas of strength are discovered to enable the tutor to better understand the current skills and capabilities of the student. The tutor can provide further assessment with a diagnostic test in the student?s grade level and subject area. This is a chance where the tutor can peruse through the student?s recent school reports, assessments, class work and homework. The student and parents can discuss their tuition requirements and issues with the tutor in this initial meeting. We offer an obligation free assessment for the initial meeting between the tutor, parents and student. Tutoring can be provided for test preparation, Selective High School Preparation, such as the Higher School Certificate, Opportunity Class Placement Preparation and NAPLAN (National Assessment Program ? Literacy and Numeracy). Our tutors range from University students to Post-Graduate students to teachers. Students can attain increased confidence and most probably better results. Our carefully selected tutors develop a positive and nurturing learning environment where learning issues can be addressed and dealt with.
